Biography
Aiesha Baig is a Mississauga based emerging artist who completed her BFA at OCAD University. Working as a plein-air artist she paints in various media including oils, watercolour, and gouache while finding her inspiration in nature and botanicals. Capturing the beauty in nature is how she expresses her connection to God and verifies His unquestionable existence.
Statement
The greatest proof of God’s existence is seen through the beauty of nature. Spirituality and kinship one feels to the Creator are contemplated through the moment act of performance between the experience of space and painted articulation. Painting ‘plein air’ creates a spontaneous image focusing on light, mood, and atmosphere – where my paintings become part of the landscape.
